Does sober living cost?

There is no charge for sober living. It is a service that we provide for those enrolled in our partnering IOP Programs. The only requirement to stay in our sober living houses is that each person be enrolled in PHP/IOP, maintain sobriety, and agree to our sober houses' guidelines when they move in.

What is sober living?

Sober living is a supportive, sober living environment that many people find very helpful in early drug and alcohol treatment. Many times, a stretch of time in a sober living house is just what someone needs to create a little time and space between their recent addiction and the new life so many addicts and alcoholics desire so badly for themselves. At our houses, there is structure, accountability, and camaraderie. These things are often considered essential to being able to create new habits and to be able to become stable as a newly sober/clean person in recovery.

Does your IOP Program take out of state insurance?

In January/February of this year, there were some changes made to out of state coverage for major insurance companies in several states nationwide. These changes saddened us in California as CA is known to have some of the best drug and alcohol treatment facilities and programs in the country. Unfortunately, some of the states that made these changes are the very ones that have less than ideal treatment options within the state.

However, the good news is there are many states that still do offer out of state benefits and our IOP Program is able to take these insurances. A few of the states that still offer out of state benefits are: Florida, Texas, Wyoming, Alaska, Arkansas, New York, Alabama, Hawaii, Louisiana, and Georgia. There are others, too, so give us a call if you would like to see if your insurance is still covering out of state treatment for you.

Benefits are always unique and specific to each person's policy, so call us and we will be able to tell you pretty quickly what your benefits are.
